Private Plates and Personal Number Plates

Gone are the days of ringing the DVLA to purchase your private plates, as from late 2008 they introduced the new online booking system! So far the system seems to be working rather well. After clicking the buy it now button your private plate is reserved in a shopping cart for 11 minutes, giving you time to make the purchase without the fear of someone else taking. Your order and payment details are then taken online and the documents sent out!
