Tom Talbot from Stoke-on-Trent has purchased the private plate 57 OKE. The reserve set at £1,900 was blown away in bidding and finaly ended up at £7000. Toms son, Anthony, commented: “We were all brought up in Stoke-on-Trent so he likes to collect the town names. He has got quite a few now. I think the Stoke one was a bargain.”
Mr Talbot is now said to have his eye on a plate for his neighbouring team Port Vale, to add to his vast collection of private plates includig TAL 60T on his own car.
